Virtual Walkthrough
Scope a multifamily property before you ever drive to it.
Type a property name, city or full address. CapExSuite gathers the property facts and available photography, then compiles a structured walkthrough your team can verify in the field.

Start with a property
An address is enough to begin.
You do not need plans, a rent roll or a unit mix to start. Those are outputs, not inputs.
Enter the property
A name and city works. So does a full street address.
It runs in the background
Keep working. The walkthrough compiles without holding your session.
Read the report
Property facts, unit mix, per-unit shopping list, building systems workup and the itemized takeoff.
What the walkthrough returns
Structure, not a summary.
Everything below is a record your team can act on, edit and verify. Nothing is a static PDF.
Property facts
Unit count, year built, stories, building type and management, each carrying its source.
Unit mix and floor plans
The unit types the property actually offers, with counts.
Per-unit shopping list
What turning each unit type requires.
Building systems workup
Exterior envelope, building systems, interior baseline, and site and amenities.
Itemized takeoff
Every line with a quantity where one can be computed, and a source label on all of them.
Photo itemization
Field photos from a phone come back as a room-by-room item list with conditions, folded into the same walkthrough record.
Verification register
The same data, reorganized as a field workspace for the site visit.
Scope before drive
Type the address, get the full scope.
Underwriting a deal in a market you do not live in, or bidding a program against a deadline, usually means guessing or waiting. This is the third option: a structured scope you can interrogate, with its uncertainty labeled rather than hidden.
How verification works
Why source confidence matters
Not every output is observed fact.
This is the part new users most often misread, so the product states it on every line rather than in a footnote.
Observed
Identified in photos or documents for this property.
Derived
Reasoned from the property's own era, type, region and construction. Not observed.
Baseline
Calculated from a unit-type baseline where photography was thin.
Needs a look
A risk check that cannot be judged remotely, so it never carries a price.
A thin run announces itself. When a large share of a takeoff came from baselines rather than observation, the report states that percentage above the totals. A property with rich photography returns mostly observed lines. A property with three photos does not, and it says so.
What flows downstream
The walkthrough is a starting point, not a deliverable.
Once your team verifies the scope, the same record continues into the rest of the program.
Into an opportunity
Turn a finished walkthrough into a tracked opportunity with everything attached.
Into an estimate
Feed a draft estimate with lines, totals and upgrade options, ready to edit and send.
Into procurement
Send confirmed quantities to a material package on a unit group, then source and buy from it.
